Elmer "Baba" Frazier Jr.

July 20, 1964 - January 13, 2021

Elmer Frazier, Jr. was born on July 20, 1964 to the late Elmer (Rit) Frazier, Sr. and Genora Frazier in Elaine, AR. He graduated from C.V. White High School with the class of 1983. Affectionately known as Baba, he enjoyed fishing and cooking and worked as a mechanic, electrician, carpenter, and farmhand. He confessed a hope in Christ at an early age at First Baptist Church, Lakeview under the leadership of the late Rev. Freddie L. Hall. Elmer (Baba) is preceded in death by his father Elmer Frazier, Sr., his maternal grandparents Mabon and Pearl Gladney, and his paternal grandparents Leon and Alberta Frazier. Elmer leaves to cherish his love, enthusiasm, and memories with: His mother Genora Frazier of Lakeview, AR; his children Lavelle Calvin of Memphis, TN; Christopher Frazier of Little Rock, AR; Courtney Willis of West Helena, AR; Sequoyah Frazier of Jonesboro, AR; Yarvarious Frazier of Murfreesboro, TN and a God-daughter Kinzley Coleman. Five sisters: Debra (Oscar) Richardson of West Helena, AR, who he called his other mother; Cheryl (John) Grannan of Memphis, TN; Lisa Frazier Brooks of Southaven, MS; Kimberly Frazier (DL) of Tunica, MS and Tomeka (Pervis) Waston of West Helena, AR. Three brothers: Kenneth Frazier (Shanta) of Lakeview, AR; Bruce Frazier of Hollywood, FL and Kelvin (Jackie) Frazier of Cedar Hill, TX. Elmer also leaves behind seven aunts, three uncles, and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends to cherish his memories and the love and support of close friends Yolanda Williams, LeShell Winfield, Dan Toney Davis, and Willie Chairse. TWENTY-THIRD PSALM The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: He leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for His name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: For thou art with me; Thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; My cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the House of the Lord forever. A Special Brother The day you left and gained your wings my heart just broke in two I wish you could have stayed with me But Heaven needed you You left me with the memories And I love you dearly still No matter how much time goes by You know I always will You were a very special person With kindness in your heart And the love we had together Grows stronger now we’re apart I know I cannot bring you back Although I wish it everyday But a piece of me went with you The day you went away Acknowledgements The family wish to acknowledge with deep appreciation the many expressions of love, concern and kindness shown to them during this hour of bereavement.
