James Henry Larry Jr.

January 3, 1951 - March 25, 2020

James Henry Larry, Jr. was born on January 3, 1951 in Helena, Arkansas born to the late Mr. and Mrs. James Sr. and Levore Larry. "Maine Larry,” as he was affectionately called, light shined throughout many as he impacted his family, friends, and the community. His transition from this Earth was early morning on March 25, 2020 in which he quietly and peacefully went to be with the Lord and those he loved dearly who preceded him. James graduated from Eliza Miller High School, class of 1969, in West Helena, Arkansas. There, football was a sport that he loved and participated in. Shortly after graduating, he moved to Florida but soon returned back to the comfort of home, Helena-West Helena, Arkansas. Upon returning, he worked on the family farm alongside his dad, uncle, brothers, sons, and nephew. Over time, he created his own business Larry Trucking and with this taught, not only his sons but others how to operate and work on tractor-trailers. His many hobbies included working on vehicles, creating remote control cars for holiday family races, watching westerns, movies, and cartoons with his grandchildren. James was preceded in death by his parents- James Sr. and Levore Larry, sister- Pearlie Larry, and daughter- Dana Williams He leaves to cherish many memories, his wife, Shirley Diane Moss- Larry; his children- Leslie Wright of Stuttgart, Ar.; James Larry, III of West Helena, Ar.; Anthony (Michelle) Jones of Little Rock, Ar.; Brian (Stephanie) Larry of Fayetteville, GA.; Shaye Larry of Conway, Ar.; Sidney Larry of Helena, Ar. and Sedric (DeeAnna) Larry of Helena, Ar.; Twenty-five grandchildren and Twenty-seven great grandchildren; Siblings- Ruthie Larry-Collins of Indianapolis, Indiana; Lawrence Larry, Earnest Larry, Geannette Larry-Doyle, Jeannette Larry-Beale all of Helena-West Helena, AR; Minnie Larry-Washington of Sherwood, AR; Deborah Larry-Calvin of Conway, AR.; Sirmeteria Larry-Walker and Carol Larry-Thornton also of Helena-West Helena, AR.; a host of relatives, loved ones, and friend, Arquilla Grant, all who were very special to him during his Earthly life with us. We all will reflect on the many memories that we have shared with James and love him dearly. His legacy and love will continue throughout us all. Due to Covid-19 pandemic we are strongly advising everyone to stay 6 feet apart during Mr. James Larry Jr., funeral services. Please be advised that this is a time of sorrow for many, but please go by the directions of our funeral directors so that we can insure the safety of Mr. Larry family and those who attend. This means that at the graveside for Mr. Larry service could have more than 10 people, but everyone have to be spread out and remain more than 6 feet apart and no hugging, kissing, holding hands, or touching one another.
