James Thompson was born to the late Quincy and Carrie Thompson. He is survived by his children Alfonza B. Thompson, Alice A. Thompson, Linda K. Scoggins, Joseph Thompson, and Cheryl Lynn Thompson. His brothers and sisters: Emma Jean Thompson, Vera White, Vernetta Saunders, Paris Thompson, Brenda Haigler, Ruben Bennett, Alfonzo Thompson, and Rae Evelyn King. He is preceded in death by both of his parents and a son Quincy Thompson, His brother Charles Thompson, E.W.Thompson and a sister Etta Thompson.
